In 2008, Christopher Simon, associate professor of political science at the University of Nevada, Reno, was named the" Technology Educator of the Year” by Nevadas Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology.

Barcelona power station is a combined cycle thermoelectric plant located at Pier Energy of Port of Barcelona, in Barcelona, Spain. It has 2 thermal units of 425 MW, which use natural gas as fuel, and with a total electric power of 850 MW. It is owned by the multinational company Gas Natural.



Batokunku is a village located in Kombo South, one of the nine districts of The Gambias Western Division. In January 2009, the village became notable as the location of the first wind turbine erected in West Africa. The 150 kilowatt turbine, a second-hand machine originally built by the Danish wind energy manufacturer Bonus, currently provides electrical power for the entire village. The windmill is currently serviced/maintained by Global Energy based in the nearby village of Tujereng in collaboration with Windstrom SH from Germany.

RunWise is a project of energy recovery within the Corporation of Parker Hannifin. Project plans: as part of the transmission on the trucks, which perform several stop and go cycles, the Runwise system will collect energy from braking the vehicle, the batteries, again freeing up power for acceleration. Car, manufacturer of heavy trucks, service, has partnered with Parker Hannifin to free the truck using the RunWise system.
